This Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is produced only in the best years. It comes only from our Sangiovese Grosso vineyards and has the same vinification and aging as Brunello, with an extra 12 months of aging in French tonneaux (500 liter oak casks). The wine is full bodied and well structured with a rich red ruby color. The taste is intense and elegant with a hint of spices and a final seducing tannic. A truly exceptional wine reserved for the most special of occasions.

Azienda Palazzo, owned by Loia-Palazzo family, located in the southeastern area of Montalcino, in a dominant position at 320 s.l.m., covers a total area of 12 hectares, of which 4 are cultivated with Sangiovese Grosso Brunello vineyards and 3 of Olive grove.
Practicing "Integrated Agriculture" using only organic fertilizers and disinfectants for organic farming. The terroir present layers of original rocks, in particular galestro marl, but also rich in limestone. The vineyards are located in beautiful landscape, exposed to the sun from morning until evening, also very well protected from the north breezes. A strict selection, during the vegetative cycle, allows the grapes to mature well before being strictly hand-picked.
The estate, an old farmhouse from the 1700s, has been completely renovated, maintaining the original structure of the Tuscan style. The cellars and vinification area have been completely modernized. While further prestige has been given to the ageing, a traditional subterranean cellar, reserving a place under the main farmhouse for the obligatory refinement in the bottle before release. The complete commitment of the Loia-Palazzo family embraces the entire production cycle, from the processing of the vineyards, to the vinification and aging, to the marketing of their wines.
